Globe
A recording studio, pressing plant, and recording label run by Murray Nash. The studio was in a small room above Tootsies downtown. Many local bands recorded there as part of winning a 'Battle of the Bands' competition. Many of the recordings are now lost.
On the song-poem labels site Phil Maxwell lists that the label address as Box 275, Nashville. This box number was seemingly used by a handful of other imprints directly connected with Globe Recording Studio. When owned by Jim & Glenna Maxwell, this studio recorded a significant amount of song-poem titles, not just for their own labels listed below but also for many other song-poem labels operated in other parts of the country .
Maxwell imprints at Box 275 included:
Belle Meade Records
Check Records
Continental Records
Dial Records
Dub Records
Hillsboro Music (BMI)
Modern Records
Musonic Music (BMI)
Sale Records
Sherwood Records
Super Records
