Mac Boswell and The Outcasts
Vocal and instrumental group, fronted by James Malcolm "Mac" Boswell and composed by John Clark, Fiske Minton, Harry Williams and Brown Ellis. At 19 Mac Boswell and the Outcasts had made several tours of the south and the Southeast appearing with stars like Ferlin Husky and Jerry Lee Lewis. The group began in 1957 while the boys were attending West High School. After working together for months, they entered several talent contests - Winning Many.
Their single release came out on a 1950s Atlanta-based label associated with Bill Lowery. The track one Side A was written by rising songwriter Ray Stevens, with side B being co-penned by Robert Riley of The Prisonaires.

He loved music and had a distinctive musical career with his band Mac Boswell & the Outcasts.His very dear friend, John Clark is the only remaining member of the band.He attended Lavonia First Baptist Church.
